Monthly Missions

January:

Mission: Camp White

Description: Contributes to providing a welcoming, educational experience for families, youth, and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a beautiful camp setting. Funds support the upkeep of the grounds and buildings, scholarships for campers, supplies and equipment used at Camp White. Located near Council Grove KS.

February:

Mission: Help House

Description: Provides emergency assistance for the basic needs of individuals and families in Osage County, Kansas. This can include food distribution (Food Pantry), utility assistance, clothing, back to school supplies, among others. Located in Lyndon KS

March:

Mission: Community Missions

Support the needs of individuals in our community or projects that support or improve the community. By helping others and creating a stronger community, we hope to inspire a ripple effect of compassion. Through helping those less fortunate, we contribute to a more positive and sustainable future for everyone. Examples include but not limited to: community meals, back to school supplies, food assistance, emergency/crisis support for individual/family, and school lunch debt.

April:

Mission: One Great Hour of Sharing

Description: Supports international ecumenical efforts. This is a way to respond when a flood overcomes New Orleans, a tsunami befalls Indonesia, or an earthquake destroys lives in Haiti. UCC Mission.

May:

Mission: Open & Affirming Coalition

Expand resources and training programs to help congregations work towards an ONA covenant. It supports best practices for advocacy, evangelism, communication, and growth. Supports LGBTQ+ civil rights. UCC Mission

June:

Mission: Strengthen the Church

Description: Expand resources and training programs to help congregations work towards an ONA covenant. It supports best practices for advocacy, evangelism, communication, and growth. Supports LGBTQ+ civil rights. UCC Mission

July:

Mission: Community Missions

August:

Mission: Cue

Description: Provides support to Chicago (Chicago IL), United (Dayton OH), and Eden (St Louis MO) Theological Seminaries to educate and inspire the next generation of religious leadership. These seminaries are affiliated with the UCC.

September:

Mission: Neighbors in Need

Description: Supports ministries of justice and compassion throughout the United States, including the Council for American Indian Ministries (CAIM), justice and advocacy, and direct service projects directly or through the submission of grants. UCC Mission.

October:

Mission: Every Child’s Hope

Description: Cares for vulnerable children across Missouri. They are dedicated to preventing child abuse, treating emotional trauma and mental health issues, and providing aftercare, education, and follow-up services. Located in Kansas City, St Louis, Jefferson City, and Dexter MO.

November:

Mission: Emmaus House

Description: Provides emergency assistance for the basic needs of individuals and families in Finney Co, Kansas. This can include food distribution (Food Pantry and Soup Kitchen) and a Homeless Shelter. Located in Garden City KS

December:

Mission: Christmas Fund

Description: Funds provide financial aid to retired and active UCC ministers facing overwhelming financial demands. UCC Mission, 5 for 5
