Greetings!
It sounds like winter weather is sticking around for awhile. Just a reminder, if the service is canceled, notice will be sent out via email, phone calls and announced on Topeka TV stations. Rev. Dee will take a break this Sunday; the sermon message will be given by Linda May and is titled, “Fill Me Up”. The Scripture reading will be Matthew 5:1-12.We hope you can attend in person. If not, the service recording is typically posted to Facebook later in the day.
Souper Bowl Sunday:
We are collecting soup and other food items for the “Souper Bowl of Caring”. Items collected will help restock our Blessing Box. It is so named because soup is typically collected and ends on the NFL’s Super Bowl Sunday.
Coming Events:
• Tuesday, Feb. 3 – join the women in Fellowship Hall at 2 PM for Women’s Fellowship
• Wednesday, Feb. 4 – church meetings – Boards @ 6:30 PM; Council @ 7 PM
• Wednesday, Feb. 18 – Ash Wednesday Service @ 7 PM
Blessing Box:
Please make sure your donation won’t freeze in winter weather. Our Outreach Board and volunteers who keep the box filled, try to monitor this so nothing bursts inside the box from freezing. Right now – hats and gloves are a great thing for someone to find in the box – as well as canned goods and boxed foods. Thanks for your continued support of this mission! Feel Blessed!
Susan’s Gift:
We continue with “Susan’s Gift” to collect scarves, hats and mittens for the Blessing Box and the Rescue Mission.
Women’s Fellowship continues to collect Best Choice labels. Clip the labels and drop them in the can located on the kitchen counter in Fellowship Hall.
Meals on Wheels:
Adults can eat lunch at the ELM Building Mon-Fri for a small charge of $4 for those 60+ and $8.00 for those under 60. Please call a day ahead by 11 a.m. to reserve your spot at 785-893-1107. There is usually a copy of the menu at the front of the sanctuary.

You are not reading this by accident:
Psalm 46:10
“Be still and know that I am God.”
As bad as you want to address it, sometimes it’s best to let God fight for and defend you. He sees everything.
All you need to do is be still.
All He asks of you is to be humble and trust Him.
You don’t need to force it – just trust the One who blesses.
Very soon, you will smile and say, “God, this is more than I prayed for. Thank you!”
So take a deep breath, trust Him. He’s got you!
Be still …
God’s plan is always the best – don’t forget.
Peace,
Linda
