What’s Up 02/22/2026

This Sunday, Rev. Dee’s sermon message is titled, “Wild Places.” The Scripture reading will be Matthew 4:1-11. We hope you can attend in person. If not, the service recording is typically posted to Facebook later in the day.
The sunshine today!  Even as the colder weather returns, let God’s love warm your heartts.

As we enter into the Season of Lent, please join us tonight (Wednesday, Feb. 18) at 7 PM for a meaningful Ash Wednesday service.

Blessing Box:

Please make sure your donation won’t freeze in winter weather (it WILL get cold again).  Our Outreach Board and volunteers who keep the box filled, try to monitor this so nothing bursts inside the box from freezing.  Right now – hats, gloves and socks are a great thing for someone to find in the box – as well as canned goods and boxed foods. Thanks for your continued support of this mission! Feel Blessed!

Susan’s Gift:

We continue with “Susan’s Gift” to collect scarves, hats and mittens for the Blessing Box and the Rescue Mission.

Women’s Fellowship continues to collect Best Choice labels. Clip the labels and drop them in the can located on the kitchen counter in Fellowship Hall.

Meals on Wheels:

Adults can eat lunch at the ELM Building Mon-Fri for a small charge of $4 for those 60+ and $8.00 for those under 60. Please call a day ahead by 11 a.m. to reserve your spot at 785-893-1107. There is usually a copy of the menu at the front of the sanctuary.

Upcoming Birthdays:

Read Exodus 14:14.

Everything is going to be alright.  God knows you’re tired and that you’ve done your best.  He understands your worries about the future.  Don’t be afraid – He’s always watching over you and sees your perseverance and refusal to give up.

God is making a way for you.  You are going to make it, no matter what it looks like right now.  Remember:  God is working behind the scenes for your good.  He didn’t bring you this far to leave you.  Trust Him.

Peace,

Linda
