Hello Church Family!
This Sunday our Scripture lesson is from John 4: 5-42
Pastor Dee’s Sermon is titled: Living Water
Our service starts at 10:30 – but come a little early for some great hugs!
I hope you all have enjoyed the rain that God sent our dry dry ground. I hope you are enjoying the sunshine today! Spring in Kansas is like a surprise gift – each day it’s something new! Guess that’s why we still all live here
Saturday night is DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME! Please turn your clocks forward an hour before you go to bed Saturday night – or we’ll see you at the end of our service!
Did you know that our church now has a website? The address is:
communityuccks.org. Check it out when you get a chance – and be sure to refer it to friends who may be looking for a fun and friendly church!
Upcoming Services are:
Sunday March 29 – Palm Sunday Come wave the palms as we celebrate Jesus triumphal entry into Jerusalem. This is the beginning of Holy Week – the final week before his crucifixion and resurrection.
Thursday April 2 – Maundy Thursday Service – at 6:30 in Fellowship Hall. This is a simple meal of soup, fruit and bread that commemorates the Last Supper of Jesus and his Disciples
Friday April 3 – Good Friday Service – at 7:00 in our church sanctuary.
This service focuses on the solemn commemoration of Jesus Christ’s crucifixion, death and burial.
Sunday April 5 – Easter Sunday at 10:30 in church. HE LIVES! Hallelujah!
Hope to see you all at these memorable and special services.
Here’s some more fun stuff:
BLESSING BOX
Most popular spot in town! We love how our community supports this mission – as well as our church members. It takes a village to feed a village – so thank you to everyone! Non-perishable foods that won’t freeze or melt – popular items are Ramen noodles, soups, pancake mix, canned goods, etc. Above all else – Be BLESSED!
SUSAN’S GIFT
– we continue to collect gloves, hats, socks, etc to put out in our Blessing Box and also to share with the Rescue Mission. There’s probably some good sales on hats and gloves right now as the stores gear up for summer!
Meals on Wheels: Adults can eat lunch at the Elm Bldg M-F at noon for a small charge of $4 for age 60+ and $8 for under 60. Call ahead just the day before to reserve your spot! 785-893-1107 by 11 am.
March Birthdays are:
Dee Moore
Rex Sleichter
Jerry Clements
Jordan Cauthon
Addy Quilling
Brodie Gleason
Here’s some interesting signs seen at churchs:
Easter comes once a year- How often do you?
We use duct tape to fix everything –
God used nails to fix everything!
No bunny loves you like Jesus!
Why did the Easter Egg hide?
He was a little chicken!
God loves you and so do I!
Have a great week and see you Sunday!
Rebecca
